The Great Cloth Diaper Change in Livingsotn New Jersey #GCDC2012

This year, I co-hosted a Great Cloth Diaper Change event in Livingston, NJ with Magic Bum and Green Bean Babies. Not only was this my first time co-hosting, this was also my first year participating in the event!

Our Great Cloth Diaper Change event was held at a Masonic lodge where Aja of Magic Bum's husband belongs to. We managed to get some amazing sponsors who donated items and coupons, allowing us to put together some fantastic door prize packages and swag bags. We also had car seat checks, CHIPS registration, infant massages and a sign language instructor who did a demonstration after the change.  

Unfortunately my husband was unable to attend because he had to attend a funeral but I was able to get my amazing friend Lisa to come along and help out. She helped keep an eye on E and even watched children not involved in the change while the it was going on.

Our change time took place at 12:30 PM EST and we all started to get settled in the changing area at about 12:15. I felt like it was the longest 15 minutes ever. E was restless and overtired, She definitely could have benefited from a nap before the change.

We did it!

Thanks so much to Mark of Green Bean Babies for taking the pictures above! We has exactly 25 babies changed which was the minimum of how many we needed to qualify for the Guinness World Record. I can't wait to find out if this years Great Cloth Diaper Change beat out last years record!

Overall, It was a great experience and it was an absolute pleasure to be able to work with everyone involved. I put in a lot of time helping with the planning and preparation but it was totally worth it! I would definitely co-host again (I say co-host because there is no way I'd ever be able to arrange this event by myself). Huge thanks to all the volunteers and co-organizers which included Aja of Magic Bum, Her husband Russell, and Heather & Mark of Green Bean Babies!
