Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil {Review and #Giveaway}

I recently had the opportunity to try Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil from Tropical Traditions. We use coconut oil for almost everything, especially baking and cooking!

Recently, I used Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil in a boxed brownie recipe. Normally I would make my own brownies from scratch but that day I just wanted to throw something together for dessert. The recipe on the box calls for vegetable oil so I substituted that with coconut oil. I placed the coconut oil needed in a small saucepan to melt it down then mixed it in with the rest of the ingredients. In the end, the brownies came out delicious! I really could taste the difference and it's hard to describe it. I suppose I can say that there was no oily taste that there may have been if I used vegetable oil. I also feel like the coconut oil brought out the taste of the chocolate morsels.

I also use coconut oil as a detangler for E's hair and sometimes even my own! The coconut oil smoothes, softens her hair, and smells great. Unlike detangling products, coconut oil is natural which makes me more confident in using it in our hair! I sometimes even use coconut as a skin moisturizer and for diaper rashes.
