Thursday went well considering I ran out of covers because they were all still drying from the previous day. Because i had no covers to use, I doubled up flats and worked with different folds. For example, I did a pad fold and layed it into a jo fold which worked out very well and can be seen below.
Today's Topic: What tips have I learned so far?
- For one, The less there is to wash, the better. Don't let your wash loads get too big because it can take up a lot of time. You don't want to spend all day on one giant load.
- Soak your flats because it helps with stains.
- If drying indoors, leave the windows open! I noticed a HUGE difference in drying time when I left my windows open. I suppose the light breeze helped to dry them quickly?
- If you can dry outdoors (weather permitting), do it as much as you can because your flats will dry much faster!
Are you taking the challenge? What's a tip that you think people NEED to know when using flats?
