PMD Personal Microderm Review

I've always have had issues with my skin, particularly with acne and have had terrible break outs since my teens. My acne has caused a lot of facial scarring which is mostly camouflaged by my freckles but when I look in the mirror, I know it's there. 

You wouldn't believe how excited I was to have the opportunity to use the PMD Personal Microdem! For those of you not familiar with Microdermabrasion, it's an non-invasive exfoliation technique that removes dead skin cells from the outermost layer of your skin.

At first, I was pretty nervous that I wouldn't use the PMD properly. But after watching the video provided in the kit and looking over the instructions that can also be found on the website, I became pretty confident that I'd be able to use the PMD with ease! I washed my face and made sure that it was completely dry before using the PMD. Since I have sensitive skin, I used the blue disks which is recommended for my skin type. Prior to that, I did use the white practice disc which to test my skins tolerance.

I held the PMD with my right hand and with my other hand, I pulled my skin tight in the area that I was treating while moving the PMD upward across my skin. The session took less then 10 minutes. I couldn't believe how quick and painless the first treatment went. 

It is recommended that you wait 6-7 days between treatments to allow your skin to recover. I'm going to be completely honest, I started to use the PMD Personal Microderm then had two very traumatic events occur in my personal life. Because of that I ended up waiting way too long for my second treatment. Basically I started over again about 15-16 days after my first session.

The next 3 treatments went as well as the first and I am absolutely amazed with the results! Some of my acne scars have faded and my skin looks more youthful and feels smooth. Not only PMD produced great results, It has boosted my confidence. I'm no longer embarrassed about my skin and I also feel like people take me more seriously with a better complexion. I am definetely going to continue to use my PMD Personal Microderm!
