I don't know about you, but I love road trips and I recently came across pa-roadtrips on VisitPA.com. I live in the neighboring state of New Jersey and have been to Pennsylvania many times so I thought this would be the perfect state for a road trip becasue of the amazing scenery and destinations!
The duration of the road trip would take three days and three nights which sounds fantastic to me! The first suggested destination for day 1 is the Old Jail Museum in Jim Thorpe. I visited the museum as a kid and loved it! The jail is pretty spooky and has a lot of interesting history. “Along your way, be sure to make a stop at infamous Cell 17. What makes it so infamous you ask? This is where the ghostly handprint of a self-proclaimed innocent prisoner haunts the wall. No matter how much they clean, paint, or even concrete the walls, the handprint always returns.”
Scary, right? This would be a great trip for my husband and I to go on without my 14 month old.
For a more family friendly road trip, The Roadtrip-a-Matic has the Kidsylvania roadtrips that are appropriate and fun for children! Destinations include museums, parks, zoos historical sites and more!

Now, You may ask why take a road trip versus flying to a destination? Well for one, with a road trip you have total control of your trip. If you want to stop for a bite to eat, you can do that and if for whatever reason you need to change your plans, it can be done with ease! I also like that I can take whatever I can fit in our car with us and don’t have to pay baggage fees and what not like if I had to fly to my destination. With a road trip you are able to enjoy the countryside as you drive through beautiful Pennsylvania!

I’m more interested in the second road trip because is closer to my home state, New Jersey.
