Unfortunately, I almost never eat breakfast. My morning flys by and by the time I can sit down and relax, it's already lunch time and I'm pretty hungry from going without food all morning.
I've been trying to make an effort to snack on something healthy for breakfast, preferably something enjoyable but that can be eaten on the go. I had no idea how hard it was to find wholesome food suitable for a breakfast snack.
I came across Quaker Soft Baked Bars while I was grocery shopping. They come in two flavors that include Banana Nut Bread and Cinnamon Pecan Bread (pictured below) which are made with real fruits and nuts. What caught my attention was that these bars are only 140 calories, contain 5g of Fiber and 6g of protein per serving. The are also an excellent source of 5 B vitamins!
With that, I decided to pick up a box of the Banana Nut Bread Quaker Soft Baked Bars since I love bananas and have enjoyed other Quaker foods in the past. I couldn't wait to take them home to try them! The next morning while preparing Baby E's morning breakfast, I popped in a Banana Nut Bread Quaker Soft Baked Bar into the microwave for 15 seconds to make it nice and warm.
The Banana Nut Bread bar was soft, delicious, and made the perfect breakfast snack! It even tasted like fresh baked Banana Nut Bread! The Quaker Soft Baked bar is also very fulfilling and even held me over until lunch time.
Next time I'm grocery shopping, I'm going to make sure I pick up an extra box of Quaker Soft Baked Bars for my husband to keep at work. He too sometimes forgets to eat breakfast and I want to make sure he has a yummy snack to get him through until his next meal!
Have you tried Quaker Soft Baked Bars and if not, Which flavor are you looking forward to trying, Banana Nut Bread or Cinnamon Pecan Bread?
