Rockin' Babies Book Review

Baby E loves being read to and I love having that special time with her. We own a lot of children's books and I always enjoy stories that even adults can get a kick out of. Rockin' Babies by Cynthia Weil and Dr. Jenn Berman is the perfect example of this!

Book Description:
"Whether being hounded by the paparazzi (parents with cameras), getting mobbed by fans (cheek-pinching relatives) or going “on tour” (wheeling around in a stroller), baby is born to be wild! In Rockin' Babies, Dr. Jenn Berman and Cynthia Weil playfully re-imagine the rock 'n' roll lifestyle in child-friendly fashion. Galia Bernstein's spectacular illustrations, combining unique textures and colors, complete this charming book-perfect for hip parents and babies who “dream big.”

About the Authors:
Co-authors, Cynthia Weil and Dr. Jenn Berman are mother and daughter and best friends. Dr. Jenn, the original rockin’ baby, is now a shrink, mom, TV and radio personality, and the author of two best selling parenting books, including SuperBaby (Sterling Publishing Co. Inc 2010). Cynthia Weil is the rockin’ Grammy winning lyricist of classic songs like You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling and Somewhere Out There.

The first thing I noticed about the book was the adorable illustrations done by Galia Bernstein. They are vibrant, incredibly detailed and flow wonderfully with the story.

What I can tell you for sure is that my Rockin' Baby absolutely loves this book! Baby E carries Rockin' Babies around with her and it's one of those stories that she wants read to her over and over and over again! This book is hands down one of her (and my) favorites! Sometimes she'll even open the pages and point to the cute illustrations and will say "baby!"

I think my favorite part of Rockin' Babies is "Rockin Babies trash their rooms" which is accompanied by an illustration that depicts a baby sitting on the floor, tossing stuffed animals into the air. It totally reminds me of something E would do.

Cynthia and Dr. Jenn compare rock stars and the life of a baby in such a fun way! Each time I turned the page, I couldn't help but to chuckle! I highly recommend this book to all rockin' parents with rock star babies. Not only would this book be great for your child's collection, it would also make a fabtastic gift!

Along with the Rockin' Babies book, we also recived an awesome Rockin' Babies Swag Bag which features a ton of Dr. Jenn's favorite products that include:

  52. These books are not only entertaining and fun for kids but also the parents. I love the illustrations and the fact that the books have a lot of humor to them. I also find it very special that the co-authors are mother and daughter. The mother and daughter must have a very close relationship, every parent needs that type of bond with their child. My little boy is 19 months old and he is my everything, I hope when he gets bigger he will always remain a mommy's boy. I find it so neat how the books use such awesome comparisons as well, for example, how the authors compare being hounded by the paparazzi to parents with camera, lol, that is so cute and so true. I would LOVE to win this, my little boy absolutely loves to be read to, and this is definitely something we could enjoy together. Very excited for the giveaway, thanks so much for giving us the chance to win :).

    Lots of love,
