As some of you may know, We've been using EC (Elimination Communication) since E was a baby. If you're not familiar with EC, it's kind of like potty training for infants. I've never really been consistent with it but now that E is a toddler, I want to stay on top with potty training (or potty learning as we call it). I may be a first time mom but I have a lot of experience in potty training from working in childcare. One of the most important things you need when potty training is, of course, a potty!

The Joovy Loo Potty Chair looks like a real potty which will encourage your child to go just like a "big" boy or girl. It will also make for a smooth transition when your child is ready to start using the regular potty. I also like that the Loo is a potty chair that your child can grow with. The weight limit goes up to 60 lbs so it's perfect for even a preschooler.

The Joovy Loo features a non-slip base which makes the potty stable and keeps it from sliding. If you have hardwood, tile, or laminate flooring you will appreciate this feature! We have hard wood flooring in our living room (where E uses the potty), so the non-slip feature is important! Without the non-slip base I'm sure E could potentially injure herself from sliding, etc. 

The Loo also has a removable bowl (shown above) which has plenty of fill space so you don't have to worry about any waste spilling over. It also has an integrated splash shield which prevents spills. The bowl can be lifted off the base of the potty and emptied using the no-touch grab handle, making clean up incredibly easy! Simply pour into an adult potty and rinse/wash the bowl out. 

Baby E did such a great job on the Jovvy Loo Potty Chair! I can tell she is comfortable and there is plenty of room for her to sit. She enjoys looking at books or reading together while she's on the potty to help pass the time.

Right not we're just trying to be consistent. I continue to be guided by E's cues like when we use EC and try to schedule potty breaks every 30 to 60 minutes. I also give her a ton of praise when she actually goes in her potty! Sure, we've had our share of accidents, but potty training is a process and I am thankful I have the Joovy Loo Potty Chair as we go through our potty training journey!
